Individual Ministry Mission Statements

Christian Education -  Cheryl Smith (cheryl@sociallytangled.com)

The mission of the Christian Education Ministry at St. James Brethren Church is to teach the Word of God to children, youth and adults so that they can develop a personal relationship with Christ and become fully devoted followers of Him. Matthew 28:19 - Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

Deacon Board - Greg Rouse  (greg.rouse@myactv.net

The Deacon Board exists to promote the spiritual health of the church by supporting and meeting the needs of its members. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

Fellowship - Kelly Allman & Ann Reynolds (kellyallman33@gmail.com), (aervball@hotmail.com

The fellowship ministry’s role is hospitality and service to others through the use of our spiritual gifts.  With this we strive to build unity within the body of Christ, providing support to the life of the church and the community.    With God’s help, may we be faithful in the use of the resources He provides to bring Him glory. I Thes 1:3 - We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Outreach - Blair Reynolds  (br153ar@yahoo.com

Outreach Ministry provides an avenue for believers to reach beyond our church property in drawing others to God’s Kingdom. The goal of the Outreach/Missions ministry is to fulfill the Great Commission statement in Matthew 28:19-20, by reaching beyond our facility with intentional activities that cause Kingdom values to penetrate hearts, lives and families. “Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.” Matthew 20:19-20

Property - Keith Brining (kbrining1@yahoo.com

This ministry maintains the church building and property as a ministry to the body of ChristRomans 12: 6-8 ~ 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.  If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your (a) faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving generously; if it is to lead, (b) do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Stewardship -  Joe Schnebly  (j.schnebly@myactv.net

We recognize that God is the owner of everything and we are the caretakers of His world. The Stewardship ministry exists to challenge people to give of their time and their resources, and equips them to recognize their gifts and to use those gifts to further God's kingdom.

Worship - Penny Baker & Joni Rouse (kpbaker2416@myactv.net), (grammy@myactv.net
