St. James Brethren Church’s Children’s Ministry has an array of options to meet your children’s needs on Sunday mornings. Beginning at 9:00am, we have classes for infants – Pre-K (4-6 years).
During our Sunday school hour (9:15am – 10:00am), our infant – Pre-K classes use the First Look Curriculum. This curriculum is focused on giving these children a first impression of their loving heavenly Father. Through the use of Bible stories, monthly themes, Bible verses, activities and Parent Que we strive to instill these three basic truths into the hearts and minds:
- God made me.
- God loves me.
- Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
During our contemporary worship service (10:30am – 11:45am), we offer childcare for infants – 3 years old. Children and Youth (4yr – 5th grade) are dismissed from the sanctuary at the conclusion of our worship songs to attend their own worship programs. The Wee Worship (4-6 yr. olds in room M3) and Beginner Church (2nd – 5th grades in Ministry Center gym) programs feature a weekly Bible lesson, activities that coordinate with their lesson and a take-home bulletin.
